Hail Damage Repair - Colorado Springs

We have been in the auto hail damage repair business since 2018 and we know how inconvenient and frustrating car hail damage can be.

You have a great looking vehicle, you take good care of it, even baby it a bit… You depend on your car, and it gets you where you need to go without fail.

Then one day golf ball size chunks of ice fall from the sky putting hundreds of dents into your car. The front and rear windshields are smashed. Maybe even some of the side glass too…

It looks hopeless. You rush to file a hail damage claim with your auto insurance provider, but the lines are constantly busy because everyone else in Colorado Springs is doing the same thing. You finally get through to your insurance agent and learn that it may take a few weeks to get your hail damage repaired.

Your brain is suddenly buzzing with questions. What if the hail damage is so bad, they ‘total’ my car? Will it still look great after it is repaired? How long are the repairs really going to take?

Relax. You will get through this even if your car is so dimpled it resembles a golf ball.

We help passionate car owners keep their vehicles looking great while providing unparalleled customer service. And part of that includes guiding our clients through the sometimes-tricky insurance claim process.

Hail Damage Insurance Claims Process

We will help you get the claims process rolling and work to ensure that you get a fair settlement to get the damage repaired. During COVID, some insurance companies are attempting to estimate insurance damage over the phone, oftentimes with new and inexperienced adjusters. The idea is to send in some pictures and get back an estimate. Great in theory, but in our experience, the process tends to underestimate the actual damage by 60-90%!

Shine the Light on Hail Damage

Even when insurance companies send an adjuster out, it can take 2-3 weeks and the estimates are still 10-25% lower than they should be because they almost never use a “PDR Light” to assess the damage which is essential to get an accurate visualization of the actual hail damage.

This specially designed light projects lines onto the vehicle so every dent can be easily seen because the uneven surface causes the lines to bend around each point of damage. This is the only way to get an accurate hail damage estimate on your vehicle. Most insurance companies realize this and will work with us to adjust their original estimate to be closer with what it will actually cost to repair the damage.

Getting To Work On Your Hail Damaged Car, Truck Or SUV

Once we get an agreement with the insurance company, we can begin work. If new panels are required, we order those and get started pushing the dents on the rest of the car. Typical turn around times for hail repairs are between 3 to 10 days. Much of the time depends upon the extent of damage, parts availability, shipping times, paint shop availability (for new panels), and workload. We can give you a more accurate turnaround time estimate once your car is ready for repair.

That is a very quick overview of our hail damage claim process. We are very good at working with insurance companies to get you a fair settlement for hail damage to your car, truck or SUV.
